I made Chinese meat pie , which is in my recipes wanted to make a vegetarian version so here it is. Both are good.

I get tired of shepherds pie being made with beef which is actually cottage pie, but I did use sweet potatoes traditional shepherds pie is made with potatoes thus just shepherds pie no cheese thats a thing in the States, lol!!!

This recipe is delicious, the mixture of the juices of the meat filling with the touch of paprika combined with nutmeg in the puree, give it an unparalleled flavor and make this an exquisite and tasty dish that everyone would love to eat.

This is a puertorican recipe. I don't know the name in English, so I just called Potato Meat Pie. Recently I found out that there is a recipe called Shepherd Pie that is kind of similar.

This recipe is different from a traditional pie crust but it yields a rich and flavourful crust that can be used for both sweet and savoury pies. For pie filling ideas, try my fish pie filling recipe.

Originally I wanted to call this Shepherd in a cottage pie because I wanted to put in ground lamb and ground beef, which I did use both meats. I have been wanting to do this recipe. Well here it is. Happy St. Patrick's Day 2023

A meaty delicious complete meal. True shepherd's pie made with lamb, and no cheese. Not to be mistaken for cottage pie made with beef. In restaurants here in America when I see shepherd's pie on the menu i have to ask is it real shepherd's pie made with lamb? 99% of the time "ah no sir it made with beef." My reply what a shame could you change the name to it's real name cottage pie? Even in Irish and British restaurants this happens. So here is a shepherd's pie without ale or wine in it.
