Ingredients

40 minutes

  1. Homemade Sambar powder
  2. 1 tspoil
  3. 1 tspurad dal
  4. 1 tspchana dal
  5. 1 tbspcumin seeds
  6. 1/2 tspmethi dana(fenugreek seeds)
  7. 1/3 cupCoriander seeds
  8. As neededCurry leaves
  9. 1/3 tsphing/ asafoetida
  10. For sambhar
  11. 1 cuptoor dal boiled
  12. 1/2 cupchana dal boiled
  13. 2 tspoil
  14. 2dried red chilli
  15. 1 tspmustard seeds
  16. 1 tspfenugreek leaves
  17. 1 pinchHing/asafoetida
  18. As neededcurry leaves
  19. 1onion sliced
  20. 1tomato chopped
  21. 1potato cubed
  22. 5-6beans chopped
  23. 1/2small brinjal chopped
  24. 1/2small bottle gourd cubed
  25. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  26. 1 tspsalt
  27. 1 cupwater
  28. 1-2 tbsptamarind pulp
  29. 2 tspCoriander leaves chopped
  30. For instant idli
  31. 1 cuprava/sooji
  32. 1 cupcurd
  33. to tasteSalt
  34. 1 pinchbaking soda
  35. as neededwater

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil and a large kadai, add 2 tsp oil add mustard seeds, curry leaves, dried red chilli, fenugreek leaves saute for a minute. Add onion, greenchilles cook for a minute.

    Now add tomato cook for a minute.

    Now add mixed vegetables and saute for 2-3 minutes.

    Now add all spices, tamarind pulp and 2 cup water mix well and cover and boil for 10-15 minutes.

    Now add boiled both dals and 1.5 cup water and prepared homemade sambar powder, Coriander leaves mix well cook for 10-12 minutes until the flavours well absorbed.Ready

    (Instant Rava idli):- Take a bowl add Rava, curd, salt baking soda and some water mix well make a medium consistency batter.

    Grease idli stand with oil pour with spoon idli batter into the mould and microwave for 4-5 minutes.

    Or steamed on gas for 15 minutes.

    Serve hot sambar with hot steamed idli.
