Aubergine Sauce with Saffron Rice
This may be the most awesome dish I've ever made: it's spicy, sweet and tangy. There are quite a few steps and ingredients but it is well worth it. The saffron-berry rice compliments the vegetable sauce perfectly

Vickys Kids 'Risotto', or Chicken, Rice and Peas in a Mushroom Sauce with an Adult Serving Option, Gluten, Dairy, Egg & Soy-Free
I posted this almost 2 years ago and haven't made it in a long time. I'm revisiting it as it was always a great dish to use up leftover rice & chicken and mushrooms that may be starting to discolour. I added stock and extra veggies for colour and it's better than before. The kids still love it!

Rice Bowl: Butter and Soy Sauce Ham
I usually don't use block ham (I don't buy it) but I had a lot and just using it for salads seemed like a waste, so I tried various ideas. As ham is already salty, I only used sake and black pepper to season. Recipe by Shubuta

Singapore Chicken Rice with Ginger Sauce
The Singapore chicken rice with ginger sauce I had at a cafe was so delicious. So I came up with this recipe to make it easily at home. You don't need to use fresh coriander if you don't like it! (Actually, I don't like it myself.)You can use boiled chicken instead of cooking it with the rice! The boiled chicken has a firmer texture, so choose whichever you like. Recipe by Nekomaruri

Yuba Ankake Sauce with Rice (Kyoto Obanzai Style)
I forgot the name of the restaurant, but I've been hooked on this ever since I had it in a restaurant in Kyoto's Ponto district!! We often eat this at home because it's not only delicious, it's also easy and healthy.-This is so easy that I don't have any tips, but the broth will become rich. Make sure not to over-boil it.-You can give the dish a different feel by chilling it and adding in winter pumpkin or grilled eggplant.-I recommend using a deep bowl and topping it with lots of an sauce if you are serving it as a rice bowl. Doria (Rice Gratin) with Curry Pilaf and White Sauce
I like the combination of curry-flavoured pilaf and white sauce. I made curry pilaf earlier so I made this dish too. By adding tomatoes and broccoli, you can boost the nutrient content of the dish.During Step 3 as you add the milk, it will be a bit thick but will gradually thin out. Stir the sauce constantly over low heat and you won't get any lumps. Instead of fresh tomatoes, you can use canned tomatoes. Just pop some into the middle of the sauce. For 2 servings. Rice Noodles with Chicken, Peanut Sauce, and Lime
A colorful dish for such a cloudy week! 😶🌫️I love this dish for its contrast of flavors and how satisfying it is. It's a kind of Pad Thai (my absolute favorite dish in the whole world, along with pizza haha) that isn't quite Pad Thai but still hits the spot. I wanted to try it with some rice noodles I bought at a little shop near my house. This can be made with noodles, pasta, or any kind of noodles.I hope you like it 🤗

Garlic & Soy Sauce Fried Rice ♫ With Mayonnaise
My kids said they wanted to eat crumbly fried rice! That was what got me making this ^ ^When making the scrambled egg, if you're using a Teflon non-stick pan, you don't need oil.If the rice is soft it has too much moisture, and won't become crumbly. So I recommend using regular to firm rice. When making multiple servings, it's a bit of a pain, but I recommend limiting how much you make to 2 servings at once. It cooks more efficiently this way. Make Multiple Types of Koji Simultaneously in a Rice Cooker: Salt Koji, Soy Sauce Koji, Sweet Koji
With a rice cooker, you can make several types of koji in just 8 hours. Using plastic bags makes it easy to mix and remove! The origin of this recipe: I thought it would save time to make several types of koji at once, and I came up with the method of using plastic bags. It's really easy, and you can make three types at once. Since it's made in a rice cooker, you can enjoy it the next day.

Japanese Hamburg Steak + Demi-Glace Sauce with Rice
Last week, I attended a trial cooking class at ABC Cooking Studio. They offered three menu options, two of which were baked goods, but since I don't have an oven in my condo, I opted for the Hamburg steak class. It turned out great, so I decided to make it at home and share the recipe with you all.The ingredients listed here are for one serving... In the picture, I made enough for four servings, so it looks like a lot.

Authentic Pork Rice Bowl with Sweet and Savory Sauce
My husband is from Hokkaido. When his parents came for a visit, we wanted to serve them pork donburi rice bowls, but we were out of our favorite Tokachi pork donburi rice bowl sauce! So, we made it from ingredients we had on hand. The sweet and salty sauce turned out delicious and we were totally satisfied. There are many restaurants that use thick pork loin, so it's okay to use that instead. I prefer the juiciness of thinly sliced pork belly. When adding the pork to the sauce, stir lightly while it simmers to keep the pork tender; if the heat is too strong, the pork will become tough. Add as much onion as you like. Recipe by Hachan mama

Western-style Onigiri (Rice Ball) with Butter and Soy Sauce
I made onigiri with buttered rice, which is my kid's favourite.*The mixture is a little bit oily, as it includes butter, so use plastic wrap when shaping if you'd prefer.*If you use salted butter, adjust the amount of salt accordingly. Recipe by Akane

Meat Sauce Over Fried Rice
I made this recipe as a way for my kids to eat the vegetables that they normally wouldn't eat served individually.I used meat sauce made in advance. This can be easily made with store-bought sauce, so it's handy for times when you need a quick lunch. Stir frying the vegetables and the rice together, then placing the meat sauce on top prevents the dish from becoming too pasty. Recipe by Yupun

Chicken and Rice with Mushroom Sauce
This recipe is so quick and easy.. Even on the busiest nights; you can enjoy a delicious meal. Your choice of bread or bun is always great for dipping!**Ensure chicken is thawed; otherwise, adjust cooking time to allow chicken to cook completely**

Kitsuné Rice Bowl with Curry Sauce and Fried Tofu
Fried bean curd cooked in a sweet-savory sauce on rice (called kitsune-don) is delicious and I love it, but I thought that in the summer months when appetites are lagging something spicy like this would be better. My husband really liked it so I decided to upload it here! You can freeze aburaage (fried flat tofu), so it's useful to keep stocked. I make the sauce with dashi stock so it's not that spicy. It's also good on top of udon noodles. Recipe by pappatyan
