This is not an authentic recipe, as it have been simplified in the cooking time. I usually make this once in a while when I have no idea about what to cook, or when there is only limited ingredients left on the fridge.

Macaroni with Ground Meat and Béchamel, Baked in the Oven
When I made and published this recipe on January 16, 2015, I didn't know what it was called. Today I know its name is "Macaroni de la Iaia" (Grandma's Macaroni) and I can explain why it has this title. In Catalonia, macaroni and other pastas were introduced by the Arabs during their occupation. We have documented various Catalan macaroni recipes from the 19th century that are very similar to today's, although there are many ways to prepare them. But for each of us, the best and most memorable are those made by the "Iaia" (Grandma). They used to make them with ground meat or sausage meat, sometimes adding ham or chorizo and a good sauté but with little tomato and/or béchamel, and they were baked with cheese, although it was up to each grandma's taste. What is certain is that we remember them as the best!!! My tribute to the "Iaias"...Congratulations to Cookpad on its 8th anniversary. My previous recipe https://cookpad.wasmer.app/es/recetas/200140-macarrones-con-carne-picada-y-bechamel-gratinados-en-el-horno?ref=you_tab_my_recipes

BK's Crockpot Cabbage Rolls (Golabki)
My spin on a traditional Polish Cabbage Roll (Golabki) recipe similar to what my grandmother used to make when I was a kid. I like to put the filling and cabbage rolls together ahead of time then add broth ingredients to crockpot and cook on the day it's being served.

Mom's Macaroni
I'm almost embarrassed to post this recipe, it is so simple. To me, however, it is the the ultimate comfort food when I am feeling blue. Mom never served this with "real" Parmesan cheese. In fact, I never knew that Parmesan cheese came from anything except the green Kraft can until I was an adult!

Chili con Carne
My oldest son (20yo) called and said he was bored. I said, "Come hang out with me, I'll cook!"Sorry, but I learned to cook for a family of 5, so even though I'm now divorced and live by myself, I still cook for a family of 5!Enjoy and let me know if you have any suggestions.

Macaroni, Broccoli Corn Soup
I wanted to make an easy and nutritious soup that goes well with bread for breakfast or brunch.Adjust the milk and salt depending on the type of canned cream corn you use. It's also delicious with potatoes when stir frying the onions. The soup will nicely thicken as the dried macaroni is directly added to the pot without boiling them beforehand. Pizza sauce
