I wanted to eat cod stewed in soy sauce.
Recipe by Xxxmeroxxx
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Wash the fillet and pat dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Boil the broth ingredients and add ginger and a slightly mashed umeboshi (no need to remove the seed).
- 3
Lower the fillet in the broth with the skin facing up.
- 4
Make a "drop lid" using parchment paper cut the same diameter as the pan, and let it sit on top of the broth. Boil for 15 minutes. Shake the pan occassionally to coat the fish with broth.
- 5
After it's done boiling, check if the broth has thickened, if so spoon it over the fish and enjoy.
- 6
You can eat the ginger and the umeboshi too.

Flavorful Oysters Simmered in Soy Sauce
I had some leftover oysters, so I made a rich soy sauce dish.-If you rinse the oysters too much, the flavor will be washed off, so rinse for about 10 seconds or less.-This soy sauce dish can be stored in the refrigerator for about 1 week.-If using twice the amount of oysters, use the same amount of flavoring ingredients. Easy Soy Sauce Flavored Flounder in a Frying Pan
I wanted to make something with just a small amount of simmering sauce. When I tried simmering the fish in a frying pan, it came out delicious.Don't simmer the fish over high heat, but keep the it around medium when boiling for 15 minutes. Otherwise, the flesh of the fish will fall apart, so please be careful. Recipe by Rivarobauwau

Pan-Fried Cod with Butter Soy Sauce
I love this combination of flavors for all kinds of seafood, including squid. My mother used to make this for me when I was growing up.Make sure to pan fry it until golden brown, then flip over.Cod falls apart easily when cooked, so use a spatula. If the fish is very thick, put a lid on the pan to make sure it cooks through. You can use any kind of fish you like, but if you use salted salmon or other salty fish, reduce the amount of soy sauce. For 2 servings. Recipe by Chiton

Easy & Rich Soy Sauce Flavored Flounder
I made this because I wanted to eat something with a rich flavor that would go well with rice. When you flip over the flounder, they fall apart easily so please be careful. If you simmer this for too long, it may become bitter or the liquid may completely evaporate, so be careful! Recipe by Madon

Soy Sauce Flavored Beef
You can mix this into freshly cooked rice to make flavored rice. Serve in a bowl topped with finely chopped chives and an egg yolk for a pretty treat. It's even good topped over rice in a bento!! The savory simmered juices seep into the rice, making it delicious. This is suited for thinly sliced thigh meat, or any meat that does not contain a lot of fat. I suggest using cheap thinly cut offcuts. You can also turn this into ochazuke (tea or hot water poured over rice). If you can't find peppercorns, it's fine with just the ginger. In that case, add more. If you prefer a sweet and salty taste, add 2 tablespoons of sugar. Recipe by Hanamaruranchi

I added some pork to a simple tossed side dish to turn it into a main dish.My husband found this a little sour. Please adjust the amount of umeboshi paste and mentsuyu sauce while tasting. Sardines Simmered in Soy Sauce
Sardines were on sale at the supermarket, so I made one of my husband's favorites - sardines simmered in soy sauce.Place the sardines in one layer in the pan, without overlapping them.I used a frying pan with a depth of 24 cm this time. *Basic tip: for blue fish, start with cold water. This way the skin doesn't tear. (For white fish, boil the liquid first)In Step 5,if you leave some of the simmering liquid, the flavor will be less strong. If you boil it down until the liquid is gone, the flavor will be stronger. Recipe by MORIYABAR

Salmon and Burdock Root Stewed in Sesame Seed and Miso sauce
I want to serve well-seasoned stewed dishes to my family that'll go well with a bowl of white rice. But I also want to cut down on the amount of salt used. So the sesame oil and ground sesame seeds adds flavor even with a light seasoning. The burdock should be slightly firm after cooking. If you prefer the burdock to be softened more, cook for a little longer at Step 4. To avoid the salmon from flaking while cooking, shake the pan at Step 6 or use a spatula to mix briefly to blend with the seasoning ingredients. Recipe by caramel-cookie

Restaurant-Quality Simmered Mackerel (Soy Sauce Flavored)
I like mackerel simmered in soy sauce rather than miso. When I used to work full time in an office, I loved the 'mackerel set lunch' offered at a local restaurant. I recreated the flavor of their simmered mackerel. If you add the mackerel after the cooking liquid has come to a boil, it won't be fishy.Reduce the cooking liquid to about 1/3. I always feel like the fish haven't been seasoned enough whenever I don't cook down the sauce. Recipe by Pukuttopukumaru

Simple Chicken Simmered in Soy Sauce
This is something I often ate that was made by my mother. When she taught me the recipe I found that it was simple and was just a matter of putting everything into a pot and stewing.Make sure to use crystal rock sugar (this recipe won't work well with other types of sugar).1 cup of sugar might make the dish a bit too sweet, since the flavour should be subtle. I use about 3/4 cup but you can adjust the amount to your preference.I recommend making the dishes described in the recipe in this order:Chicken -> daikon radish and thick fried tofu -> taro roots and konnyaku. For 4 servings. Recipe by Meso

Easy to Make ・・Cod with Vegetable An-Sauce
I took some hints from a recipe for fried flounder with vinegar an-sauce to make a healthier fish recipe. You can make the vegetable an-sauce ahead of time, but it's better not to heat the green pepper until just before the cooking is done or the color won't be so green. You could this recipe with other kinds of fish, too. Recipe by Yuusukesuke

Soy Sauce Flavored Chicken in Cream Sauce
Generally speaking, a cream sauce flavor doesn't go well with rice. But I still want to eat it with rice… So I came up with this recipe that would go well with rice.It has a strong flavor, so would go well with rice and/or sake (beer or wine). Please try it as a pasta sauce too!If you use a heavy cream that has more than 35% fat content (I strongly recommend 42% in particular!), the sauce will become tastier with added creaminess and richness. Please use any kind of mushroom you like. The heavy cream will start to separate when heated excessively, so make sure to add it right before serving.
