Cooking Instructions
- 1
First, mix together the seasonings to prepare the sukiyaki sauce.
- 2
Sautè the beef until brown, stir in the chopped leek, add the prepared sukiyaki sauce, and when it boils, add the tofu.
- 3
Once the tofu cooks, add the katakuriko slurry, then it's ready to serve! The thicker the sauce, the better it is to coat the ground beef.
- 4
I added more tofu to leftovers. Letting the dish sit for a while allows the tofu to absorb the sauce, and this makes it even tastier.

Better than Beef!? Amazing Pork Sukiyaki
I bought thinly sliced pork cheaply! I wanted to eat it in a rather extravagant way, so I made it into sukiyaki.I added miso, but it still ended up tasting like regular sukiyaki made with beef.Even when beef is expensive, you can still make very satisfying sukiyaki using pork. Please use nice, fat tasty leeks.I used thinly sliced pork loin, but you can use other cuts of pork too. But it's probably best not to use coarsely chopped pork or a cut with lots of fat.The base ingredients are the same as regular sukiyaki, so you can add enoki mushrooms or chrysanthemum greens too. For 4 servings. Recipe by Hitomitsuki

Sukiyaki-Style Beef and Shimeji Mushrooms with Egg
I made this to serve with rice for dinner! The thinly sliced beef belly meat has fat, so it will not harden when cooked, but if using meat aside from belly meat, take it out momentarily in Step 5, and add it back to the pot when you add in the eggs. Atsuage and Ground Pork in Sweet and Spicy Sukiyaki Sauce
I like fried tofu deeply marinated in sukiyaki sauce . I thought up a recipe where the sukiyaki sauce played a supporting role to the leading tofu using age. Both the atsuage and ground pork already have plenty of oil, so let them cook in their own grease without adding oil. This will also help reduce the calories a little! Recipe by Poron526

Sukiyaki and Warishita (Sukiyaki Sauce)
I received high quality beef for sukiyaki one day.Adjust the amount of seasonings for the warishita sauce. Add more sugar and soy sauce if necessary (we prefer it lighter). The vegetables will release water after you simmer it for a while, but it'll evaporate off, so adjust the amount of water in the simmering broth as necessary. Sukiyaki Sauce - Perfect Ratio for Sukiyaki Broth
Sukiyaki broth, just the right amount for two servings! Thank you for all the feedback! The origin of this recipeI didn't like having leftover sukiyaki broth, so I noted down a recipe that makes just the right amount for two people. After trying various recipes, I think this one is the most delicious for our family (we're in the Kanto region). Since adding tofu and shirataki noodles releases water, this sauce is on the stronger side.
