Easy Keema Curry with Lentils

I made keema curry with lentils since I had some leftover boiled lentils on hand.

I used lentils for this recipe.
I used store-bought curry roux, honey, Japanese Worcestershire sauce, and instant coffee to season the curry.
Keep an eye on the curry and add more water, if needed. Recipe by Takashi mama

Ingredients

  1. 200 gramsGround meat
  2. 80 gramsBoiled lentils
  3. 1Onion
  4. 1Carrot
  5. Seasoning ingredients:
  6. 1/4 packages"Vermont Curry" Mild (curry roux)
  7. 1/4 packages"Vermont Curry" Medium Hot (curry roux)
  8. 1 tspHoney
  9. 1 tspJapanese Worcestershire sauce
  10. 1 tspInstant coffee
  11. 400 mlWater

Cooking Instructions

    These are the boiled lentils.

  2. 2

    Chop the onion and carrot and place them in a mincer.

  3. 3

    There you have finely chopped onions and carrots ready for use.

  4. 4

    Cook the mince meat in a frying pan.

  5. 5

    Once the meat is cooked, combine the finely chopped onion and carrot and stir-fry.

  6. 6

    Pour water into the mixture.

  7. 7

    Cover with a lid and steam-cook for 5-6 minutes over medium heat.

  8. 8

    Remove the lid and add the boiled lentils.

  9. 9

    Add the store-bought curry roux, honey, Japanese Worcestershire sauce, and instant coffee to the mixture from Step 8.

    Simmer for about 1-2 minutes.

    Transfer to a plate and it's ready to serve.
