I was trying to think of a recipe to use up the okara, and came up with this delicious recipe by chance.

Try these variations:
-Use either chicken, mixed, or pork for the ground meat.
-Use either whole or cut canned tomatoes.
-Pour over some udon noodles to make keema curry noodles.
-Sauté a slice of chicken and use this curry like a sauce.
-Mix in some finely chopped carrots. Recipe by Nutiki

Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 250 gramsFresh okara
  2. 1Onions (finely chopped)
  3. 150 gramsGround meat
  4. 1 canCanned tomatoes
  5. 1 boxJapanese curry roux
  6. 1Water
  7. Optional:
  8. 1Carrot (finely chopped)
  9. 1Bay leaf

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Put all the ingredients into a pot. Pour in enough water to cover everything (I usually measure 3 tomato can's worth of water) and turn the heat on.

  2. 2

Mash the tomatoes and simmer to reduce until the mixture reaches your preferred consistency. It's done once the meat and onion are cooked!
