Pork chops are one of my favourite foods, and I'm always on the search for new ways to prepare them. For this dish, tangy mustard was used to give the sauce some bite, while fried apples add some sweetness and texture.

This is a simple dish concentrating on 4 flavours: pork, maple, apple and black pepper.

This recipe is inspired by something I found at recipetineats.com, but I adapted slightly so everything happens on the stovetop. 🐖🥩

Tonight's dinner was quick and easy, and came out well enough that I thought it was worth sharing. As usual, quantities and cooking times are after-the-fact estimates. Also, please be sure to cook your pork thoroughly and please taste the sauce throughout so you can adjust to your preferences. If anyone is interested, I served this with a small side of tomato with balsamic and fresh parsley (pictured above) and roast cauliflower (not in the picture).

I always try to take some of my recipes and change the flavors up. This is almost just like my boneless chops with cherry sauce but the ginger and scallions add a wonderful note of new flavor. I hope you'll enjoy these.

I made 12 thinner chops, because that's what I had on hand. Normally I would do a thicker chop and serve 1 per person. The amount of sauce came out to about 1 Teaspoon per chop.

I love the sweet with the pork chop. Simple and easy.
