Ingredients

  1. For Idli
  2. 3 cuprice
  3. 1 cupsplit white urad dal
  4. For sambhar
  5. 1/2 cuptoor dal
  6. 1 bowlchopped vegetables of your choice
  7. 2tomatoes
  8. 2green chilli
  9. 1/4 cupimli pulp
  10. 1/3 tspturmeric powder
  11. 2 tspsambhar masala
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. For tempering
  14. 1 tspmustard seeds
  15. 6-7curry leaves
  16. 2whole red chilli
  17. 1/2 tspasafoetida
  18. 2 spoonoil

Cooking Instructions

40 minutes

    Soak rice and dal for 5-6 hours and then grind it in fine paste

  2. 2

    Let it ferment for 5-6 hours or according to climate

  3. 3

    Take a Idli stand grease it and pour big one spoon in each and steam them for 15-20 minutes

    Cook toor dal till tender

  5. 5

    Cook all the vegetables

  6. 6

    Take a pan add oil and all the tempering masala

  7. 7

    Now add turmeric powder and other dry masala

  8. 8

    Now add the cooked dal and vegetables

  9. 9

    When it's about to cook add imli paste and stir it properly

  10. 10

    Off the gas and close the lid for 5 minutes and then serve it hot with prepared idli
