A lazy girl's guide to Yam Pottage

Nwanne @cook_8140253
I like good food but prefer to spend as little time as possible in the kitchen thus this was born.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Peel and chop yam into cubes. Put into a pot half filled with water and add all the other ingredients, stir and then bring to a boil. Read a chapter of your Book of the Month:-) When yams soften, stir often to thicken broth. If using beef or chicken, add it now. Check for seasoning and then add chopped and washed vegetables. Turn down heat for 2mins and then turn off heat completely.

Your meal is ready to be served.

Sweet Potato Pottage
I love potatoes so much and I always look for different ways to cook them. Here's an easy and delicious way to cook sweet potatoes. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Easy Pan-Roasted Chicken in a Frying Pan
This is the pan-roasted chicken that I've been eating since I was a child. My mother used to roast it in the oven though.Since the chicken is cooked in the sauce, it won't be undercooked, and anyone can make it easily. There's no need to be too concerned about the cooking time, but just make sure not to let it burn. Recipe by *ai*

Mole verde

Rich and Tasty Beef Tendon Curry Made in a Pressure Cooker
I was chosen as a food tester of a curry roux company and also given good quality beef tendons. I just wanted to make luxurious curry. When eating the next day, skim off the hardened fat on the surface to make it healthier. I use a curry roux with half calories in an attempt to reduce the calories. Caramelizing the onion may be difficult, but gives a great flavour to this dish! Use a food processor to avoid watery eyes. For serving 8. Recipe by Nagisaarare

Spicy bacon ranch chicken sandwich(Air fried)
I was craving Wendy’s , and I had coupons too. But made this instead. I left off some ingredients for the picky eater,. And I added all of that to my sandwich. This took no time, and I made homemade fries right along with my chicken as I air fried them , was only cooking for two . This was our lunch way cheaper than hitting up a fast food joint .

Squash Soup base - vegetarian or not
I used to not like eating squash, as I didn't like the texture. But I later on realized I liked it mashed into a soup. I prefer doing it by hand with a fork, no food processor, so it doesn't come out too pureed. It also helps the flavor combine with the onions and garlic.Below is my squash soup base. Many variations can be made to it, vegetarian or with cream or meat- I listed some in the last step. :)

Chicken and Mushroom Pasta

Reason for making this soup. It poured rain all night, rainy day. It came a cold front, comfort food on a cold wet day. I was hungry for some good meaty soup, satisfying a craving. Thus the soup was made!!!

Curry Drumsticks
Need to make something easy, relatively quick, and good, with things i had on hand. This turned out really good. It was not spicy, next time I'll add some heat also, but if you have someone who is capsaicin challenged, do it like this. The object was to have a thick sauce to sort of glaze the chicken, not so much a soup or gravy.

Ground Beef Milanese (Economical and Very Filling)👍✨
Yesterday, I was in a dilemma because I had unexpected guests. They let me know a day in advance, but I didn't have any money, and I thought, what am I going to feed them? 😱😱 Then I remembered a time when my mom made us Milanese like this, and not only did we have plenty, but they were also delicious and very tender.

Gee's potatoe casserole
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I am a huge fan of hot/spicy food. If is not HOT is a No No for me, however you have the option to be a pro chilli or non pro 😂 my addiction is so bad that I carry small hot bottle sauce in my hand bag each time I'm informed or taken out to a restaturant "I got hot sauce in my bag swag" says Beyonce 😂😂😂 this dish is one of the popular traditional meal consumed in Australia if you live with your grandmother that is. Is made in different ways using either pasta, potatoes, beans--i have customised this recipe to make it mine and add my own twist to it. Hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did😄😘

Cuban Meatballs Bento
This was the first bento I made when I started my bento series in my blog, www.diybento.com. It was nothing extremely innovative, it was nice and simple but it tasted good, and since I am Cuban, it was also comfort food.Bento Components:– Sushi Rice– Steamed Broccoli– Cuban Meatballs– Cereal Snacks– Carrot Flowers

Meat Pie Made With Frozen Pastry To Serve to Guests
This recipe was handed down to me by my mother. This has been our family's standard recipe for meat pie for ages. It's really good so I decided to share it. Please give it a try!I don't really have any hints. You can decorate the pie in any way you like. It will become really elegant! If you make the pastry crust yourself, it will be even more delicious. Alfredo Pasta (Version 2 with Shrimp and Broccoli)
This is very similar to a previous recipe I published, with just a few changes like spices and other little things, but the steps are basically the same. It's a meal I love because it doesn't need any side dishes; it has everything—pasta, vegetables, protein, and flavor.
