Alfredo Pasta (Version 2 with Shrimp and Broccoli)

This is very similar to a previous recipe I published, with just a few changes like spices and other little things, but the steps are basically the same. It's a meal I love because it doesn't need any side dishes; it has everything—pasta, vegetables, protein, and flavor.

Ingredients

  1. As neededCooked spaghetti al dente (meaning not fully cooked, it should be a little firm in the center, it will finish cooking with everything else)
  2. 1Chicken breast, cubed
  3. As neededRaw peeled shrimp
  4. To taste Turmeric
  5. To taste Paprika
  6. To taste Curry powder
  7. As neededBroccoli or zucchini (the important thing is to use a quick-cooking vegetable, asparagus would also be fabulous)
  8. As neededCream
  9. 1little Milk
  10. To taste Salt
  11. To taste Finely minced garlic
  12. As neededFinely chopped onion
  13. To taste Parsley
  14. Optional Parmesan cheese

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Sprinkle the peeled shrimp with a little turmeric, salt, curry powder, and paprika. It might sound like a lot of spices, but trust me, it's not overpowering and gives an amazing flavor. Set aside (if you can let it rest for a while, that would be great, but it's optional).

  2. 2

Cut the bacon into small pieces and cook it in a hot pan until it releases all its fat. If using turkey bacon, add a little olive oil. Let it brown a bit, then add the cubed chicken and stir. When the chicken is almost fully cooked, add the shrimp and keep stirring until the shrimp turn orange. Then, set everything aside.

  3. 3

In the same pan, add a little butter and sauté the garlic and onion until slightly softened.

  4. 4

Add the broccoli or your preferred vegetable. I sometimes use both broccoli and zucchini. Stir, add a little salt, and keep stirring.

  5. 5

Add plenty of cream, and if it seems too thick, you can add a little milk or water and keep stirring. *Tip: Before pouring the cream, if it's too thick, I add milk to the container, stir, and then pour it in.

  6. 6

Add the previously cooked spaghetti, but make sure it's al dente. You can add Parmesan cheese here. Also, add the reserved shrimp, chicken, and bacon, along with a little parsley, and mix everything together.

  7. 7

Cover and let the broccoli and spaghetti finish cooking. If it seems too dry, you can add more milk or chicken broth.

  8. 8

It's ready to serve, and you can add more Parmesan cheese to taste once it's on the plate. It's a complete meal that doesn't need any other dish, as it has pasta, vegetables, meat, and seafood—a very complete and delicious meal.
