Crazy Easy Crusty Artisan Bread

Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsbread flour (better crust) but you could use regular all purpose flour
  2. 2 TeaspoonsKosher salt
  3. 1/2 Teaspoonhighly active dry yeast
  4. 1 1/2 cupswarm water
  5. 2 teaspoonsolive oil

Cooking Instructions

    Gather a Dutch oven or large oven safe dish or bowl, stand mixer with paddle attachment and a large bowl plastic wrap and parchment paper (baking paper)

    Mix the flour, salt, yeast in the mixer

  3. 3

    To the water, add the olive oil and mix as best as possible

  4. 4

    While mixer is on medium speed, slowly add water in a stream until its all poured in

  5. 5

    Mix with the paddle attachment until a ball is formed

  6. 6

    Place the ball into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap tightly for 24 hrs

  7. 7

    After the 24 hrs - Pre heat your oven to 450 degrees, once at 450, place Dutch oven without the cover in fr 30 min

  8. 8

    While waiting the 30 min, roll dough into a ball using fresh flour sprinkled on the counter (cover and let rest)

    When the 30 min are up, remove the Dutch oven and place a piece of pre cut parchment paper in the bottom place the dough onto the parchment paper and sprinkle half handful of flour

    Cut an “X” across the dough

    Cover and put in the oven for 30 min

  12. 12

    Remove cover and continue baking for 8-15 minutes (this depends on your oven, mine usually takes 8 min to get a golden crust on top, just keep an eye on it)

    Slice and Devour!!!! I suggest a strong cheese with honey, maybe some tomatoes, basil, mozzarella and olive oil. etc etc
