Hara palak ka saag, bajra roti with kanda karela

Ingredients

  1. For saag ingredients.
  2. 2 cupspinach finely chopped
  3. 1 cupSarson leaves finely chopped
  4. 2 tspMakka flour
  5. 4 cupWater
  6. 1 tspSalt
  7. 1Onion finely chopped
  8. 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  9. 2Tomato finely chopped
  10. 2 tspOil
  11. 1 tspCumin seeds
  12. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  13. 1 tspCoriander powder
  14. 1/2 tspGaram masala powder
  15. For bajra roti ingredients.
  16. 2 cupBajra flour
  17. 1 cupWheat flour
  18. 1 pinchSalt
  19. 1 &1/2 cupWater
  20. For kanda karela or bitter gourd ingredients
  21. 2Onion chopped
  22. 1/2 tspFennel seeds
  23. 1/3 tspKalunji
  24. 1 tspOil
  25. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  26. 1 tspGarlic chopped
  27. 1/2 kgKarele cut in circle
  28. 1 tspDry mango powder
  29. 1 tspCoriander powder
  30. 1/2 tspGaram masala powder
  31. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  32. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder

    Method for bajra roti

    Take a bowl

    Add bajra flour, wheat flour and salt in it and mix it well

  4. 4

    Then add water in it and make fine dough

  5. 5

    Then take a small ball of dough..

    And roll it with the help of rolling pin and make chapati shape

  7. 7

    And put it on tawa and cook both side of chapati and serve hot.

    For kanda karela method..

    Take a bowl and put all karela pieces in it

    Sprinkle little salt on it and mix it well

    Keep it in sunlight for 2 hours and then wash it..

    Then take a wok..

    Add oil in it

    Then add cumin seeds, fennel and kalunji in it and cook it

    Then add garlic and onion in it and saute it..

    Then add all spices in it and cook it..

    Then add karele pieces in it and mix it well

    Cook it on slow flame for 10 to 15 mins..

    It's done..

    For saag method..

    Take a cooker

    Add chopped spinach, sarso and water in it and boiled it..

    Then take 1/2 katori water and add makka flour in it and mix it well and make fine paste

    Add this paste in saag and close the cooker..

    When one whistle blow it's done..

    When it become cool blend it little.

    Then take a wok

    Then add cumin seeds in it

    Then add ginger garlic in it and saute it..

    Then add onion in it and saute it

    Then add tomatoes in it and cook it little

    Then add saag and 1cup water in it..

    Cook it for 1/2 and hour on slow flame..

    And serve hot with karela and chapati
