  1. 1 bunchPalak or spinach (stems are removed)
  2. 1medium onion
  3. 1small ginger piece
  4. 4-5small garlic cloves
  5. 200 gpaneer cut in cubes
  6. 1small cinnamon stick
  7. 1-2green cardamoms
  8. 1clove
  9. 1/2 tspjeera/cumin
  10. 1whole dry red chilli
  11. 1 tspfresh cream for garnishing
  12. 1/2turmeric powder (optional)
  13. 1/2 tspcumin powder
  14. 1 tspcoriander powder
  15. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  16. 1 pinchgaram masala
  17. 1/2 tspsugar
  18. 1 tsptomato ketchup
  19. as per taste Salt

Cooking Instructions

    Boil the spinach for 2 minutes and after draining the water, dip in a bowl of cold water for 2 minutes. Along with ginger and garlic, grind into thick paste.

    Heat the pan and lightly fry the paneer cubes with 1tsp oil.

    Heat a pan or wok, add 1 tsp oil. Add jeera, red chilli, cinnamon stick, cardamom and clove. Saute for few seconds. Add finely chopped onion, saute until lightly golden. Add turmeric powder, corindar, cumin, red chilli powder, salt and saute for few seconds. Add tomato ketchup and mix well. Now add the spinack paste and mix really well. Add 1 cup water and keep for boiling for around 1-2 minutes. Add the paneer cubes. Keep on low to medium flame for 2 minutes. Add garam masala.

    Switch off the flame. Tranfer to serving bowl. Garnish with sliced ginger and fresh cream.
