I bought potatoes, but my mom did as well! . Since we had so many, I tried to make some bread with them!Potatoes are great no matter how you cook them, aren't they?If the dough is soft, dust with flour! In Step 5, the potatoes will break easily, so it's best to wrap it all up in plastic wrap while it rises. In the winter, use warm water. Recipe by Tomomaki0313 cookpad.japan -

Character Bread! Anpanman (Koshi-an) Character Bread! Anpanman (Koshi-an)
I made this because I wanted the red bean version and not just the cream version (recipe posted). The homemade koshi-an is slightly sweet and mild. I posted the recipe to the koshi-an too so please use it as a reference. The nose and cheeks come off easily during the second rising and baking, so be careful! The key is to attach the back securely in Step 14! Taking time for the first rising lets the flavor come out, so if you have time, please give it a try. Recipe by Okaerin cookpad.japan -
Cute Hedgehog Shaped Steamed Bread Cute Hedgehog Shaped Steamed Bread
My mother used to make these steamed buns for me when I was a child, and they bring back fond memories. I made these for the children of my friend. The key points are to let the dough rise to double its original size during the 2nd rising, and to leave the steamer lid on for 3 minutes after you turn off the heat.Adding kinako to the anko paste will make it a bit stiffer, giving the hedgehogs a nice shape. For 8 buns. Recipe by Masako Bishoku cookpad.japan
