Ingredients

  • For Filling
  • 1 cupfresh coconut pieces
  • 1/2 cupcoriander leaves
  • 3green chillies (according to Taste)
  • 1 tsplemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbspmashed potatoes
  • As neededoil for cooking
  • to tastesalt
  • little turmeric
  • For The Dough
  • 1 1/4 cupswhole wheat flour
  • Water as required to knead the dough
  • As neededOil for cooking

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine the flour with enough water and knead into a semi-stiff dough. Cover and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes. Divide into 6 equal portions.
    Filling

    Grind all the above ingredients except lemon juice and potato coarsely.

  3. 3

    Empty it into the serving bowl and add the mashed potato. Mix well.

    Add some lemon juice and mix well.

  5. 5

    How to proceed
    5, Roll 1 portion of the dough in to a small circle. Put a portion of the above stuffing in the middle, and close it by bringing all the edges in the middle and roll it again to make it a paratha.

  6. 6

    Heat a griddle and cook the paratha on both the sides till light brown in colour using a little oil.

  7. 7

    Repeat with the remaining dough and stuffing to make 5 more parathas.

  8. 8

    Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney. Enjoy!
