Add water and drained dal in cooker. Add haldi and salt. Let it cool for a whistle.

Add it to a vessel and mash with saddle.

In a pan add ghee. Let it heat and add all the tadka ingredients.

Add this tadka to the dal and garnish with cilantro (optional).
