Ingredients

  1. 1 kgbeef
  2. 1 kgrice
  3. 4large onions
  4. 1 tablespoonGarlic paste
  5. 1 tablespoonGinger paste
  6. Black pepper
  7. Pilau mix
  8. Cardamom powder
  9. Cinnamon powder
  10. Cumin powder
  11. to tasteSalt
  12. Cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

    In a pot, put in the meat, ginger paste, garlic paste, black pepper and some mala(optional) and cook the meat.

    Once the meat is cooked, put in the onions and cooking oil and cook until tender.

    Add in the spieces and cook.

  4. 4

    Add in the rice and mix in well.

  5. 5

    Add in the hot water, taste for salt and allow to cook on high flame.

  6. 6

    Once the water in the rice starts to reduce, reduce flame to low, cover and let your pilau to cook

  7. 7

    Serve with pilipili ya kukaanga, kachumbari and banana as desired.
