Ingredients

  1. Paneer tikka
  2. 250 gmspaneer
  3. 3 tbsphung curd
  4. 1 tspchopped ginger
  5. 1 tspcoriander powder
  6. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  7. 1/2 tspKashmiri lal mirch
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. For masala
  10. 1big size of chopped onion
  11. 3medium sized of tomatoes
  12. 4garlic cloves
  13. 1/2 inchginger chopped
  14. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  15. 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
  16. 1 tspsugar
  17. 1 tsproasted kasuri methi
  18. 1/2Kashmiri lal mirch
  19. to tasteSalt
  20. 1 tbspoil
  21. 1 tbspslated butter
  22. 1 tbspcream (mslai)
  23. as required Required water
  24. 1 tspgrated paneer for garnishing
  25. as requiredFresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the paneer into small cubes, add in the chopped ginger, garlic, coriander powder, garam masala powder,salt and karmiri lal mirch powder.

    Add in the yogurt and mix till all the paneer pieces are well coated with the spices and yogurt.

  3. 3

    Cover and keep this marinated paneer in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

  4. 4

    Heat 1 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Once hot add cinnamon stick and cumin seeds.

  5. 5

    Once the seeds crackle, add the chopped onions, crushed garlic pods and chopped ginger. Fry till onions turn golden brown in color.

    Once onions are done, add the tomatoes. Also add the the salt and sugar,red chilli powder.

  7. 7

    Cook the tomatoes on medium flame till they are soft, around 6-7 minutes.

  8. 8

    Once the mixture is cooked, switch off the flame and allow it to cool a bit. Pour the mixture into a blender and puree it. Set aside.

    Roast the marinated paneer till golden brown in color from both sides.

  10. 10

    Pour the pureed masala in a kadhai and add water to it. Stir and add cream.

  11. 11

    Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium-low flame.

  12. 12

    Add the roasted paneer pieces, let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  13. 13

    Switch off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated paneer.

  14. 14

    Serve hot with butter naan or paratha.
