Ingredients

20 minutes
4-5 servings
  1. 2 cupMoong dal without husk
  2. 1 tbsp freshly grounded garlic, green chillies and ginger
  3. 1tomato
  4. as neededFew curry leaves
  5. as requiredfresh coriander chopped
  6. As neededOil
  7. 1 Jeera
  8. as per tasteSalt
  9. 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  10. as requiredWater
  11. 1 tbsp Ghee + 1 tbsp. oil

Cooking Instructions

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak the daal for 2 hours. Add salt. Pressure cook it (3 whistles). Let it cool. Add turmeric and some water. Keep it aside.

    Take another pan. Add ghee and oil. Once it is hot, add Jeera. Let it crackled. Add grounded garlic, green chillies and ginger, curry leaves and tomato. Give quick stir. Add this seasoning in dal. Mix it wel. Adjust thickness of daal accordingly.

    Take a pan. Add oil. Once oil is hot, switch off the flame. Add red chilli powder and pour it into the daal. Ready to serve.
