Rich Fox nut & peas curry without khoya

This rich makhana and matar curry is a party vegetable.Normally in parties or in marriages we enjoy it.My husband is lactose intolerant so I cook this tasty curry without khoya .I have used almonds and poppy seeds for the gravy.

Dry roast fox nut.

Heat 1 tb.spoon.oil in a pan,add all whole garam masala,cumin seeds.Saute..Add onion, green chilli, almonds and ginger.Cook for 3-4 min.Add tomato and salt.Cook for 3-4 min.Add 3 cups water.Coner the pan and cook for 2 min.Let it cool.

Grind it with soaked poppy seeds and strain.

Now again heat oil 2 tb.spoon. in the same pan,add cumin seeds,saute.In the mean time mix kashmiri red chilli, coriander powder and turmeric powder in 1/2.cup water.Add this mixture into oil,cook.Add ground mixture of tomto,onion, almonds etc.

Cook for 5 min.Add.green peas and roasted foxnut.Cook for another 3-4 min.Then switch off the gas.

Sprinkle some coriander leaves on it and serve.You can serve it with plain chapati or naan.
