Ingredients

About 1 hour
Serves 2 servings
  • 1/2 lbshredded beef (about 225 grams)
  • 4tomatoes
  • 1 clovegarlic
  • 1 handfuldried oregano
  • 1bay leaf
  • 6dried arbol chiles
  • 1dried ancho chile (for mole)
  • Salt, to taste

Steps

About 1 hour
  1. 1

    Cook the beef with one clove of garlic.

  2. 2

    Cook the tomatoes, arbol chiles, and ancho chile.

  3. 3

    Once the beef is cooked, chop it on a cutting board.

  4. 4

    Blend the chiles, garlic clove, bay leaf, a pinch of oregano, salt to taste, and a splash of the beef cooking broth until smooth.

  5. 5

    Pour the blended mixture into a pot with the chopped beef and simmer over low heat.

  6. 6

    Serve and garnish with chopped onion, cilantro, and lime to taste.
