Lobsters Curry

For Green Coconut Paste:- Heat oil in pan and saute onion until transparent. Add grated coconut and saute till its light brown. Turn off the gas. After it cools, take it in a blender and add green chillies, ginger, garlic, coriander, curry leaves with little water to make a smooth paste.

Cut off the claws/legs of the lobster and pull the tail towards the head until it snaps off (I.e. separate head and tail) or if lobster size is small then keep head intact. Wash and clean the lobster. Make Onions and Tomatoes paste

Boil water in a vessel over medium heat and add the lobsters. Sprinkle salt on it. Cover and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. Then turn off the gas. Remove lobsters from vessel and keep aside.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan on medium heat. Add curry leaves and saute for a second. Add onion paste, ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute or two.

Then add green coconut paste, tomato paste. Add garam masala, turmeric, koli masala, coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt and saute the masala well till the oil is realise.

Then add boiled lobsters and required amount of water. Cover and cook on low- medium flame for 7 to 10 minutes.

When the lobsters is well cook in the gravy, add kokum petals and mix well.

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and simmer for 5 mins more on low flame, then turn off the flame. Serve the lobster curry as a main course with rice or chapati.

Note:-
The meat of lobster meat should be firm and pink after it is cooked and removed from the shell. If not then it is bad meat. Discard immediately. - 10
