Easy Carbonara

Usually, carbonara is made with cheese, black pepper, eggs, and panchetta (salted pork), but I decided to make it simply with things at home.

I have listed an egg yolk, but you could also use a whole egg. However, make sure to use a small egg if you're using it whole.

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 100 gramsSpaghetti
  2. 1or 2 slices Bacon
  3. 1/2 cloveGarlic
  4. 1 tbspOlive oil
  5. [A]
  6. 1Egg yolk
  7. 1 1/2 tbspGrated cheese
  8. 1 dashCoarsely ground black pepper
  9. 1 dashSalt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Add minced garlic and bacon sliced into strips into a pan, and sauté for 2 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add the cooked ingredients from step 1 into [A] ingredients, combine and mix thoroughly.

  3. 3

    Add al dente pasta into the mixture from step 2 and toss. Season with salt to finish.
