Mapo Tofu Crispy Noodle Plate

It was delicious to pour mapo tofu over crispy noodles.
Recipe background:
I wanted to eat crispy noodles, but didn’t have any seafood. I also wanted to use up some tofu that was about to expire and some garlic chives from my home garden, so I made mapo tofu as the sauce.
It’s easy, tasty, healthy, and budget-friendly.
I make it often now.

Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  • 2 packscrispy chow mein noodles
  • 2servings mapo tofu sauce mix
  • 1 tablespoonsweet bean sauce (tianmianjiang)
  • 14 oztofu (about 400 grams)
  • 3.5 ozground pork (about 100 grams)
  • 1 bunchgarlic chives
  • 1 bagbean sprouts

Steps

    Lightly crush the crispy noodles and spread them on a plate.

    Add the mapo tofu sauce mix and sweet bean sauce to a frying pan, then add the ground pork and break it up.

  3. 3

    Add chopped garlic chives and roughly chopped bean sprouts, then turn on the heat.

  4. 4

    Once the ingredients are cooked through, turn off the heat, thicken the sauce, reheat briefly, and pour over the crispy noodles.
