Steps

  1. 1

First, clean the chicken breast, let it drain, and cut it into small square pieces. Tip: Use a knife to divide the chicken breast into 3 parts lengthwise, then cut into small square pieces.

  2. 2

Add soy sauce, chili sauce, honey, and a bit of salt (note that soy sauce is already salty) into the bowl of water. Mix well to get a smooth mixture. Chop the onion and green onion finely.

  3. 3

Add oil to the pan, sauté the onion until fragrant. Add the chicken and stir-fry until firm, then add the sauce mixture. Adjust the sweet and salty taste to your liking. Lower the heat to the lowest setting to let the chicken slowly absorb the flavors.

  4. 4

Once the chicken has absorbed the flavors, dissolve the cornstarch (or arrowroot starch) in a small cup of water, stir well until completely dissolved, then slowly pour into the pan, stirring constantly. When the sauce starts to thicken, turn off the heat.

  5. 5

Place the chicken on a plate. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onion, and enjoy!
