Sponge gourd kadayal

Steps

First, peel the skin of the sponge gourd and chop it finely.

In the cooker, add the sponge gourd, onions, tomatoes, green chillies and garlic together, pour some water and cook for three or four whistles.

Add the vegetable in a mixer jar and grind it coarsely.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and let it crackle.. Add onion and curry leaves and saute well.. Once the onions are sauteed, add the ground vegetables and mix. Add some water and mix..

Add salt, sambar powder and hing to it and mix it.

Let it boil for five minutes and when the gravy thickens, turn off the stove.. This is a perfect side dish for idli dosa.

Now ready to serve
