Chhena poda literally means Baked Cheese in Odia. It is made of well-kneaded homemade fresh/ store brought chhena, sugar, semolina, and is baked until it browns.

Grate paneer & take in a bowl. Boil milk. Switch off gas. Add lemon juice, little at a time. Stir. Milk will curdle immediately. Keep stirring for a few seconds. Strain the curdle milk (if you are making chhena @ home 🏠)

Add sugar & mash it with hands till fluffy like cake batter or you can beat with fork / cake beater

Add semolina & cardamom powder & beat it again add nuts & mix well

Transfer to greased and butter paper lined small baking tin and tap the tin.

Place the baking tin in a preheated
oven at 180°C. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. (depend on oven temperature plz keep watching) Check with toothpick
The top should be golden brown. - 6
Remove from oven. Cool down completely
Carefully unmould, remove butter paper. Garnish with cashew & pistachio - 7
Keeps good for 1-2 days at room temperature.
Store in fridge for upto a week, warm it for 20 seconds before serving. - 8
