I try to enjoy old yam to my satisfaction before the new yam start flooding the market.i decided to make this sauce with palm oil the only ingredient missing was the effirin leaf (scent leaf)

Peel and cut yam to desired shape, wash and perboil with a dash of salt, once its cooked through and its tender, turn off heat, drain water and set aside

Wash and debone smoked fish, heat up a small pot, add palm oil and a dash of salt, add the onions first after about 2 minutes, add smoked fish and stir continously

Add tomatoes and pepper and the knorr cube, stir and allow it cook on low heat for 5minutes; if you have effirin leaf add it for the nice aroma and turn off heat

Serve with boil yam.
