In a big plate or thali put together grated mawa, paneer and maida

Mix them nicely with your palm, knead it nicely for at least 10 minutes until it becomes like a smooth dough

Make a small ball from the dough and see whether there is any crack appears on top

If there is any crack then knead a little more

Now heat ghee in a kadai, preferably with handles,first on high then make it slow

Now make equal size balls from the dough

Put few mishri cubes and saffron strands in the center of the ball

Make a smooth ball of each portion

Now slowly slide a ready ball in the hot oil

Hold the kadai and shake it a little to move the balls

Try not to use any jhari or spoon to turn the balls when they are raw

This is to avoid them from loosing the shape, it may break also

Fry them until becomes brown from all the sides

Always fry 3 - 4 pieces at one time

In the meantime put together sugar and water in a vessel to make syrup

Boil it until becomes one thread consistency

When the balls are fried properly then put them directly in the warm syrup, the syrup should not be very hot

Whenever required take them out from the syrup and serve hot

You can also roll each ball with silver leaf and serve

Silver leaf is totally optional
