Microwaved Onion Gratin-style Soup Microwaved Onion Gratin-style Soup
This homemade soup is perfect for the wintertime. The sweetness and fragrance of the onions will really come out while microwaving. You can also dip crunchy toast into the soup or sprinkle with grated cheese if preferred.Try out the kombu based dashi version for a Japanese spin. It's easy because you just leave the cooking to the microwave.Since you'll be cooking this for a long time in the microwave, it'll be very hot inside. When removing the lid, be careful of the steam! It's also delicious if you add black pepper or yuzu pepper paste. Recipe by Obiichan cookpad.japan -

Pan Mee Soup Pan Mee Soup
Pan Mee is a really popular Malaysian Chinese dish that is usually made with hand pulled/hand made noodles. If you don’t have the handmade noodles you can easily substitute with egg/rice noodles. This recipe can be used to make 2 versions of these noodles - dry (noodles with toppings and soup separate) or soupy (all components together). The top list will be a list of the total ingredients needed, but they will be used in different parts of the recipe. Please take a look! The core flavours of this soup are: shiitake mushrooms and dried anchovies. If you don’t have the dried anchovies you can use some bacon or additional stock, but the flavor will not be as intense. Aleysha Jien
