Steps

Wash rice and dal together and soak it for an hour.

Heat ghee and add hing, crushed garlic, curry leaves, jeera, peanuts and mix it. Then add chopped onion and saute it till it become pinkish.

Now add garam masala, turmeric and red chilli powder and mix it and add grated coconut in it.

Then add rice mixture and mix it. Then add ¹/² cup extra water in it with salt and mix it. Then put cover on it and let it cook for 10 mins or till rice cooks.
