Ingredients

  • 1 cupplain flour
  • 125 gramsunsalted butter, melted
  • 395 gramscan sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cupbrown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cupsmooth peanut butter
  • 2 tbspgolden syrup
  • 1 cuproasted unsalted nuts

  1. 1

    Grease 18x28cm rectangular slice pan. Line base and sides with baking paper, extending paper3cm above pan edgees.

  2. 2

    Place flour, butter and sugar ina large bowl. Stir until combined. Press mixture over the base of prepared pan. Smooth over top.

  3. 3

    Cook in a moderate oven ( 180c) for aboutb10 to 12 minutes, or tell lightly golden, cool.

  4. 4

    Comine condensed milk, peanut butter and syrup in a medium saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, over a medium to high heat for about 3 to 3 minutes, or until slighty thickened. Pour over cooled base. Smooth over top. Sprinkle with nuts.

  5. 5

    Return to same moderate oven. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove.

  6. 6

    Cool slice in pan. Lift out and cut into rectangles.
