Ingredients

  • 1 cupMoong sprouts coarsely grinded
  • 1 cuppalak (or any other green leafy veggies like methi)
  • 1/4 cupgrated carrot
  • 1 tspginger and green chillies paste
  • 2 tbspBesan powder
  • 1/4 tsphaldi
  • 1/4 tspbaking soda or eno
  • 1 tspoil
  • oil
  • For tarka
  • 1 tspoil
  • 1/2 tbspurad dal
  • 1/2 tsprai
  • 1/2 tspjeera
  • leavesfew curry
  • 2 podsgarlic

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl,mix all the above ingredients and make a coarse mixture.

  2. 2

    Grease a flat thali with oil and put it generally.

  3. 3

    Pour the Moong dal mixture and spread it evenly

  4. 4

    Steam it in a pressure cooker without whistle or a steamer for 45min or till Dhoklas are cooked.

  5. 5

    As dhoklas are cooked from sprouts it takes little longer time to cook.

  6. 6

    Heat oil in a small pan ; add all the ingredients for tarka ; one by one.

  7. 7

    Saute gor few seconds and pour this tarka on the cookec dhoklas.

  8. 8

    Cut the dhoklas into pieces in any shape and serve with mint chutney.
