Steps
- 1
Knead fresh whole wheat flour to make dough for the roti.
- 2
Finely chop the onions and green chilies on a plate.
- 3
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 480°F (250°C) for about 10 minutes and place the tray inside to heat.
- 4
Mix all the dry spices into the chopped onions.
- 5
Remove the tray from the oven and brush it with oil.
- 6
Divide the dough into medium-sized balls.
- 7
Place a portion of the onion mixture onto each dough ball.
- 8
Wet your palms with water and gently press the dough to shape it into a round or oval roti.
- 9
Carefully place the shaped roti onto the tray using your hands.
- 10
Put the tray back into the oven.
- 11
Bake the roti for 10 to 15 minutes until done.
- 12
Repeat the process for the remaining dough and onion mixture.
- 13
Enjoy the rotis with yogurt or butter.
