Wash rice and let it steam down. Cut meat into small sizes and put to boil using 2 tbsp of oil until beef dries up. Using a big pan heat up oil and add in spices. Then stir for minutes.Then add in chopped onions and fry the onions until semi golden brown

In the cooking onions, add in the beef and stir until golden brown. Add in salt. Then add in 3and 1/2 cups of hot water. Then add in rice. Stir and let it simmer for 18 minutes and leave to simmer until rice becomes soft.

Serve best with kachumbari.
