Ingredients

  • 1 cupblack gram soaked for 6-8hours
  • 1/2 cupyogurt
  • 2 tbspgram flour
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 2green chilli chopped
  • 4 tsp oil or ghee
  • Pinchasafoetida
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tspginger paste
  • 2 cupjaggery
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • as neededCoriander for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Pressure cook chane in 4-cups water till done

  2. 2

    Combine yougrut, besan, haldi powder, redchilli powder, dhania powder, in a bowl and whisk. Add chopped green chilli, salt, add 1-cup reserved chana stock and whisk well

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pan. Add hing, add yogurt mixture and 1/2-cup reserved chana stock and mix.

  4. 4

    Add chana mix and bring to boil and cook for 4-5 minutes

  5. 5

    Serve hot garnished with a Coriander.

  6. 6

    Serve with roti, or paratha.

  7. 7
