Ingredients

  1. 1Potato boiled and mashed
  2. 1 cupWhole Wheat Flour
  3. 1/4 teaspoonAsafoetida (hing)
  4. 1/4 teaspoonAjwain (Carom seeds)
  5. 1/4 teaspoonTurmeric powder (Haldi)
  6. 1/4 teaspoonCoriander (Dhania) Powder
  7. 1/4 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  8. 1/4 tspFennel seeds (Saunf)
  9. 1 tbspCooking oil
  10. 1/4 teaspoonSesame seeds (Til seeds)
  11. to tasteSalt
  12. 1 tablespoonCoriander (Dhania) Leaves finely chopped
  13. as neededCooking oil for deep frying

Steps

  1. 1

    To begin making the Aloo Masala Puri recipe, firstly add wheat flour to mashed potato along with red chilli powder, coriander powder, asafoetida, turmeric powder, carom seeds, fennel seeds, sesame seeds, coriander leaves, salt and oil.

  2. 2

    Mix them well and add water so as to form a dough. Keep it aside for few minutes.

  3. 3

    Make small round balls of this dough and roll them in the form of a Puri.

  4. 4

    Apply oil on the rolling pin and rolling board and carefully roll them in to Puri.

  5. 5

    Fry them in a deep fry pan and it is ready to be served.

  6. 6

    Serve Aloo Masala Puri with Aam Ka Atchar and green chutney
