Steps

In a pan take grated tender coconut

Add sugar
- 3
Add roasted poppy seeds and chironji
- 4
Mix well and cook until a uniform mixture, till it starts leaving sides. Add chopped dry fruits, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder. Mix well everything and allow the mixture to cool completely

In a mixing bowl take maida, Suji and 2 tablespoons of ghee. Mix well and knead a semi soft dough using cold milk or water

Keep it covered aside for 15-20 minutes

Now prepare small balls of ready dough and roll out small puris

Take ready coconut stuffing and place it in the middle of puri
- 9
Fold the puri and seal the ends with finger or use a cutter

Heat sufficient ghee in a pan

Deep fry Karanji on low heat until golden in colour
- 12
Allow them to cool completely and then store in air tight container
- 13
Garnish as you like and serve with lots of love and enjoy festivities with family and friends
