Broken wheat and mixed dal khichdi is a delicious one pot meal, made from broken wheat (daliya), mixed dal and lots of veggies. Steps

Heat oil in a pressure cooker on low medium heat.

When oil gets heated, add cumin seeds, cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon and cloves. Saute for few seconds.

Add chopped onion and green chillies. Saute till onion turns translucent.

Add in the ginger garlic paste, saute for few seconds.

Now, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander. Saute.

Add chopped tomato and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Now add chopped veggies and mix well.

Add peanuts and garam masala powder(optional). Mix well.

Now add in the dry roasted broken wheat and mixed dal. Mix everything very well.

Lastly add water and salt. Mix well. Cover the pressure cooker with a lid and pressure cook the khichdi for 2 whistles.

Open the lid and add chopped coriander. Mix well.

Serve this delicious, nutritious and healthy khichdi with curd.

I have used arhar, moong, chana and urad dal. You can use any dal of your choice.

More vegetables can be added to make this khichdi more healthy.
