Ingredients

  1. For Seasoning the chicken_
  2. 1/2 kg Chicken (boneless)
  3. 1big onion (cut into fine sliced then fry golden brown)
  4. 2 tbspSattu (roasted Bengal gram powder)
  5. 1 tspGinger Garlic paste
  6. 2-3 green Chilli (finely chopped)
  7. as neededCoriander leaves (finely chopped)
  8. 1 tspGaram masala powder
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. For Kofta Curry_
  11. 2 Tbsp Mustard oil
  12. 1Bay leaves,
  13. 1 Cinnamon stick
  14. 2 green and black Cardamom
  15. 2 Cloves
  16. 1/2 tspShahi jeera (black cumin)
  17. 1 TbspGinger Garlic paste
  18. 3Green Chilies
  19. 2medium Onion
  20. 1large Tomato
  21. 2 tspChilli powder
  22. 2 tspCoriander powder
  23. 1 tspGaram Masala powder
  24. 2 tbspYogurt
  25. as neededcoriander leaves
  26. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Mince the chicken and season it with salt, garam masala powder, brown onion, sattu, green chilli, coriander leaves and ginger garlic paste and mix well.

    Make small meat balls and keep aside.
    If u want u can fry the koftas.

    Heat the oil over a medium high heat in a large frying pan.
    Now add the ground spices and fry for a seconds.

    Then add the onion tomato puree, garlic and ginger paste and fry until golden, stirring occasionally, about 5-10 seconds.

    Now add the powder masala and fry for a further minute, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
    once raw smell is gone add the garam masala powder and yoghurt and fry few minutes.

    Add a cup of water and bring it to boil. Lower the flame and add the meatballs. Simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with green chilli and fresh coriander leaves.

    Serve hot with Rice pulao or roti ya paratha.
