Ingredients

  1. 2 teaspoonragi flour
  2. 2 teaspoononions chopped
  3. 1green chilli
  4. Handfulcurry leaves
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. 1 1/2 glassesWater
  7. 1/2 teaspoonmustard seeds
  8. A pinchhing / asafoetida

Cooking Instructions

    First keep onions, green chilli and curry, oats ready then heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, hing and let it splutter then add green chilli and curry patta and let it cook. Once done add half onions with a pinch of salt and cook well.keep the rest for last step.

    Now add water to it and make it come to a boil, meanwhile add water and salt to ragi flour and mix well and pour this mixture into boiling water and cook.

    After mixing the ragi flour cook till it becomes thick like in the picture.Let this mixture cool for ten mins.

    Now beat salt and curds to a fine paste then add half glass of water and mix well. This is buttermilk.

    Now once the ragi mixture is cooled you can add buttermilk and rest of the raw onions and enjoy the cooling porridge. Very good for weight loss and cooling for summers.
