Ingredients

  1. 3 & 1/4 cup wholewheat flour
  2. 2 tbspflax seeds
  3. 1/2 tspsalt
  4. 1 & 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  5. 1 tbspyeast
  6. as neededExtra wheat flour

Cooking Instructions

    Grind the flax seeds into powdered form. Mix the flour, salt and flax seeds powder and set aside.

    In lukewarm water add the yeast and let it bloom for a few minutes.

    Add the flour to the water and start mixing with a wooden spoon at first. Later use your hands to knead it and form a sticky dough. Cover and let it ferment for 3 hours. After it swells it will be more sticky. Now add little wheat flour to it and gather the flour together.

    Lightly knead the dough and make it into one large round dough. Coat it well with flour and place it on a baking sheet. Slightly make gashes on the dough with the help of a knife. Cover and let it sit for another 15 minutes.

    Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°C for 30 to 35 minutes. The bread will have a hollow sound when you knock on it. It will be crusty on the outside and dense and soft inside.
