Wash and soak chanadal for 2 hours

Dry roast fennel seeds,coriander seeds and red dry chilli
- 3
Grind the soaked dal in the mixer grinder along with roasted masala ginger paste and garlic
- 4
Try to add minimum amount of water.

Now add the salt and asafoetida. Whip till fluffy. Here you may add baking soda if you want, add onions and coriander leaves

Heat oil in a kadai, make balls of the mixture flatten them,fry till golden brown

Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney
