Oats Honey Walnut Cookies are made with Oats and Whole-wheat. They are much healthier than the store bought cookies and filling too .

Ingredients

  1. 100 gmbutter at room temperature
  2. 150 gmHoney
  3. 100 gm (1 cup)oats
  4. 140 gm (1 cup)whole wheat or plain flour
  5. 1 tspcinnamon powder
  6. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  7. 1/2 cupchopped walnuts

Cooking Instructions

    In a large bowl add the butter and honey and beat until smooth and creamy.

    Grind the oats to a coarse powder. Assemble all the dry ingredients, oats, flour, cinnamon powder and baking soda and mix well.

    Mix in the wet and dry ingredients and knead briefly until the cookie dough comes together. Add the walnuts and mix well again.

    Rest the cookie dough wrapped in a cling wrap in the refrigerator for half an hour. Preheat the oven at 175 C.

    Divide the mixture into equal parts and form into round balls. I use my measuring spoon for tbsp to take equal amount of dough for each cookie.

    Place on a greased or non stick cookie tray little far from each other. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes for chewy cookies and 25 to 30 minutes for crisp cookies.

    Cool them on a cooling rack. Once completely cooled store them and relish them whenever you want 😋
