Soak daal half n hr n remove water.. Heat oil(1/2cup) add onion when soft add curry leaves,green chillies fry for a min.. then add tomato puree,salt,turmeric powder n all spice powder bhounfy 5 min till oil separate (add a splash of water in b/w)

When masala cook add soak daal with little water n cover the lid for 10min..

Now remove lid.. add chicken powder.. mix n cook for more 10 mins.. untill water dries n daal tender.. Now in another pan heat oil (3,4tbsp) add garlic,cumin seeds n chillies.. when garlic turns brown add chilli powder..cook for 1min

Now dish out daal n pour tarka on it..
