Boil soaked dal and rajma in a pressure cooker by adding 1 teaspoon salt and water until 5-6 whistles at medium flame.

Heat the pan and add ghee, butter and bay leaf.

Add chopped onions and ginger garlic paste. Saute it until it turns light brown.

Add chopped tomatoes and saute it until it turns mushy and oil separates.

Add garam masala, jeera powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix it well.

Put boiled dal and rajma in the pan and add 2 cups of water. Mix it well.

Cover the lid and cook it for 1 whistle at high flame.

Put the cooked dal in a serving bowl.

For the tadka add ghee in pan and put it on a low flame then add hing and red chilli powder in it. Garnish it on dal.

Garnish the dal with coriander leaves, onion and fresh cream. Serve it with chapatis or jeera rice.
