Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 9 ozchicken (250 grams)
  2. 1 tablespoonyogurt
  3. 1 teaspoononion paste
  4. 1 teaspoonginger paste
  5. 1 teaspoongarlic paste
  6. 1 teaspoongreen chili paste
  7. 1 teaspoonred chili powder
  8. 1 teaspoongaram masala
  9. 1 teaspoonturmeric powder
  10. 1 teaspoonchicken masala
  11. 1 teaspoonchaat masala
  12. 1 tablespoonlemon juice
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 2 cupsmustard oil (you can also use refined oil)
  15. 1small bowl cilantro, green chili, ginger, and garlic chutney
  16. 1lemon
  17. Chaat masala to taste

    Wash the chicken thoroughly with water. Whisk the hung yogurt (drain the yogurt in a muslin cloth to remove excess water) until smooth. Add all the other ingredients and mix well.

    Add the chicken and mix to coat. Cover and let it marinate for 1 hour.

    Heat oil in a deep pan. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and fry, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy on both sides.

    Once the chicken is cooked and crispy, remove from the oil and drain. Place the fried chicken on a plate, sprinkle with chaat masala, and serve with cilantro, green chili, ginger, and garlic chutney.
