Wish you all happy Ugadi, gudi padva n Baisakhi..
Today is the 1st day of chaitra masam. For telugu's n kannadiga's its our new year.
On ugadi day we make ugadi pachadi.. its a mixture of all tastes sweet, sour, bitter, salty, spicy... neem flower is important but we add other ingredients to balance the bitterness.. 6 different tastes. It symbolises our life.

Ingredients

  1. 3mangoes
  2. 6banana
  3. 2green chillies
  4. 1/2 cupcoconut coarsely grinded
  5. as requiredNeem flowers few
  6. As neededTamarind pulp
  7. as requiredjaggery
  8. as requiredWater

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the mangoes to small pieces. Shred jaggery, take tamarind pulp. Cut banana to small pieces. Cut Green chillies to small pieces.
    Take 4 glasses water in a vessel add all ingredients and mix well. Add 2tsp salt. Add grated coconut.Dont add neem flowers much. Few only you add. We believe when we taste it. Whatever taste first we get our year will pass accordingly. We always try to taste banana first as it is sweet.
    Everything should be in proportion.
